Behind the feature: What it’s really like to be recognized as a Real Producer

When the March issue of Columbus Real Producers came out and I saw my story in print, I had to pause. It’s an honor. Truly.

But if I’m being honest, the feature isn’t the headline for me. The work is.

Recognition feels good — but what matters more is what it represents: the pivots, the risks, the growth, and the people who made it possible. I want to share a little behind-the-scenes perspective on what this milestone means to me and to The Mancini Group.

The pivot that changed everything.

Not a lot of people know this, but before real estate, I built brands in the beauty and skincare industry. I worked in corporate America, helping companies scale into major retailers like Sephora and Ulta. It looked exciting from the outside — and in many ways, it was.

But I was burned out.

The constant travel. The pressure. Building someone else’s vision.

I remember thinking, I want to build my own brand. I want to build something I’m proud of.

And just like that, in 2014, I made the decision to pivot into real estate. It wasn’t impulsive — it was intentional. I believed helping people build wealth through real estate would feel different. More meaningful. More personal.

It was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Focused on building a business, not just closing deals.

When I stepped into real estate, I didn’t just want to sell homes. I wanted to build something strategic, long-term, and bigger than just myself.

Today, I focus on luxury buyers and sellers across Central Ohio, work closely with developers, and have built a strong presence in the Airbnb and investment sector.

But one of the things I’m most proud of is my team.

The Mancini Group includes five incredible agents — McKinsey Gilligan, Nicholas Baldwin, Courtney Davis, and Nikki Sturgis — along with our Chief of Staff, Jeff Binnix (who we jokingly call “the assistant to the stars”). We operate out of our downtown office in the Arena District, and every person on this team adds fuel to the fire.

Building this team has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. It’s not just about transactions — it’s about cultivating leaders, strengthening relationships, and creating an experience our clients can trust.

Seeing complexity as opportunity.

If there’s one thing that still gives me an adrenaline rush, it’s a tough deal. The complicated negotiation. The deal that feels like it might fall apart. The scenario where everyone says, “This is going to be hard.” I love that.

There’s something deeply satisfying about bringing clarity to complexity and getting it done. Luxury transactions and investment deals require confidence, strategy, and composure — especially when emotions run high.

That’s where experience shows up. And I lean into it.

Marketing is our strategic edge.

My background in brand-building became the backbone of how I approach real estate. Our marketing is second to none because it has to be. In the Columbus luxury real estate market, visibility is leverage.

We go beyond standard listing platforms. Yes, we use Zillow, social media, and SEO — but we also invest in advanced strategies like Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), which optimizes for AI-driven search… Because in this world, you have to be thinking one step ahead.

We partner with Matchbox Creative to elevate all of our branding, marketing and digital presence.

Every listing is positioned intentionally. The photography. The storytelling. The exposure strategy. I don’t believe in “just putting it on the market.” I believe in launching it.

My home is my creative outlet.

Four years ago, my husband Parker and I bought a ranch in Granville on five wooded acres. It was dated. Eleven types of flooring. Walls everywhere. Low ceilings. It needed vision.

Parker gutted it. Vaulted the ceilings to 18 feet. Opened the layout. Reimagined everything.

Living through that renovation changed how I advise clients. I understand what a remodel really costs. I know what adds value and what doesn’t. I know the difference between cosmetic and structural change.

Many of my clients lean on that insight — and I’m grateful I can offer it authentically.

Leading with kindness and strength.

Kindness isn’t weakness. It’s leadership. In this industry, it’s easy to operate with ego. I choose not to.

One thing I said in the article that I stand by completely:

You’re going to be the best and you’re going to be the most successful while you’re leading with kindness.
— Mandy Mancini

I believe you can negotiate fiercely and still treat people with respect. You can be direct without being harsh. You can win without cutting corners.

Empathy, integrity, and genuine connection are non-negotiable for me and my team.

Wellness that fuels performance.

Fitness and health are a huge part of my life. Parker and I work out regularly. We hike. We mountain bike. We cook most nights and prioritize clean, intentional living.

That discipline translates directly into business. Luxury real estate is demanding. High-level negotiations require mental clarity. Leadership requires energy.

If I’m not taking care of myself, I can’t show up at the level my clients deserve.

What this recognition really means to me and my team.

Being featured in Columbus Real Producers is incredibly humbling. But for me, it’s less about recognition and more about responsibility. The Central Ohio real estate market continues to evolve. Buyers are more informed. Sellers are more strategic. Investors are more disciplined.

I take that seriously.

My commitment moving forward is simple: stay sharp, stay ahead, and continue building a business rooted in strategy and authenticity.

Grateful for the journey, focused on the future.

I wouldn’t be here without the clients who trusted me early, the team who shows up every day with excellence, and the partners who elevate this brand. This feature is a milestone — but it’s not the destination.

Columbus is growing. The luxury market is evolving. Investment opportunities are shifting. And I’m more energized than ever. If you’re thinking about buying, selling, relocating, or investing in Central Ohio, I’d love to show you what intentional, strategic real estate looks like.

Recognition is an honor. But results are the goal.
